Belarus Industry Ministry to present 9 investment projects in London

The companies subordinate to the Industry Ministry will present nine investment projects at the Belarusian Investment Forum in London on November 17. A total of $4.5 billion investments is required to implement these projects, spokesman of the Industry Ministry Alexander Balyshev told BelTA.

One of the largest projects is a $1.5bn flat production facility at the Belarusian Steel Works.

The BelavtoMAZ Production Association has conceived three projects: to set up a bus production facility ($100 million), develop a family of trucks meeting Euro-3 and Euro-4 standards and increase the production to 50,000 trucks a year ($1 billion) and create a truck crane production with the annual output of 1,000 units ($80 million).

The Minsk Tractor Works seeks to implement three projects which are aimed at upgrading the production to 100,000 Belarus tractors ($800 million), setting up a new rolling and graded plate wheels facility ($80 million) and developing a manufacture of caterpillar tractors at its subsidiary, the Mozyr Engineering Plant ($60 million).

The Integral Research and Production Association is set to construct a new plant to make 0.18mcm integrated circuits ($250 million). Integral is also going to create a new LCD-panel production facility ($350 million).
