(Source: Daily News Bulletin; Moscow - English)trackingMINSK. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Belarus should develop bilateral relations with Georgia, said Vadim Popov, the speaker of the lower house of the Belarusian parliament.

"I think we need to develop bilateral relations with all nations. We do not have unsolvable differences with any nation. Including Georgia," Popov told journalists, when asked about prospects for new agreements with Georgia after the latter's withdrawal from the CIS.

"Economic difficulties have arise even in our relations with Russia - both on sugar and milk powder. It is not a reason for a row," Popov said.

At the Inter-Parliamentary Council meeting held in Geneva the Belarusian delegation met with Georgian parliamentarians at Georgia's request, he said. The Georgian parliamentarians wanted to know "whether Belarus will scale down its economic relations with Georgia, impose sanctions," he said.
