Crisis Prevention in CIS Area Discussed in Minsk

On 23-24 October, experts held consultations to discuss draft documents on interaction of the CIS members in prevention of conflicts at the headquarters of the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk, Belarus.

The participants considered the proposal of the Kyrgyz Republic on resumption of discussions on the draft agreement of the Special Representative on conflicts prevention and adjustment in the CIS states and draft order on the CIS Committee on conflict situations.

The meeting underlined importance of the work on development of mechanisms on prevention and adjustment of conflicts in the CIS area. The experts supported the Kyrgyz Republic's initiative to prepare and adopt documents on conflict prevention within the organization. They decided to continue work in this direction.
