Lukashenko tells ministers there is no crisis in Belarus

MINSK. Oct 31 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said there are no signs of a crisis in the country.

"I have warned the government members: there is no crisis in the country, and there will be no talk of any crisis. The psychological factor matters in economy, and no one should be lulled into a belief that a crisis is a reason for decreasing production indicators and for not paying salaries to people. This is unacceptable," Lukashenko said on Friday during the discussion of staff-related issues.

The president also warned his ministers and the government: "The nation will not tolerate the dependent position of businesses, regardless of the form of ownership," the president's press office also said.
