Russia ready to grant new interstate stabilisation credit to Belarus

MINSK, October 7 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian side has reaffirmed its readiness to grant a new interstate stabilisation credit to Belarus "on mutually beneficial terms", a source in the Russian delegation that accompanied Prime Minister Vladimir Putin during his working trip to Minsk told Itar-Tass on Monday night. "Working contacts will be continued with a view to working out credit-granting details," the source said.

As far as cooperation in the basic sphere is concerned, the source recalled that "a contract (between Gazprom and Beltransgaz) with a fixed "pricing formula" is currently in effect. "The Russian side will ensure the supply of the natural gas amounts that are provided for by the contract," the source assured. "Contacts between the Russian and Belarussian sides in this respect will be continued on a permanent basis," the source added.
