Ukrainian, Belarusian vice-premiers discuss bilateral cooperation

Ukraine's Firs Vice-Premier Oleksandr Turchynov and First Vice-Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashnko have discussed the ways to step up the bilateral cooperation amidst the world financial crisis.

The meeting took place in the frames of Turchynov's one day visit to Minsk on Tuesday.

The two officials also summed up the implementation of the decisions passed at the 16th meeting of the Ukrainian-Belarusian intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation held in June, 2009.

The Ukrainian vice-premier noted the progress in the implementation of these decisions.

Turchynov and Semashko also discussed the issues of increasing the bilateral trade in commodities and cooperation in fuel and energy sector.
