Ukraine's government approves framework agreement with Belarus on cooperation in space sphere

The government of Ukraine has approved a framework agreement with Belarus on cooperation in the sphere of space research and the peaceful use of space.

This was stipulated in cabinet resolution No. 1052 of October 7, which has been posted on the official cabinet's Web site.

The document was signed by the governments in Kyiv in June.

According to the document, the priorities in bilateral cooperation in the space sphere are the joint fulfillment of scientific space research and application programs, the joint creation of Earth Remote Sensing (ERS) micro-satellites, systems for managing and processing data received from ERS satellites, and the development of up-to-date technologies for ERS data processing to apply to concrete tasks.
