Increased oil supplies to Belarus possible - Naryshkin

The volume of Russian oil shipped to Belarus, for its domestic consumption could rise next year, if Minsk demonstrates the respective need, said the chief of staff of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin on Wednesday during a meeting in Moscow with representatives of the Belarusian media.

The official said Moscow regretted that Minsk unleashed anti-Russian rhetoric associated with the upcoming elections in the republic. By doing so the Belarusian leadership is trying to shift responsibility for its mistakes to Russia. "We sincerely wish that the actions of the Belarusian leadership were on course for cooperation with Russia and for restoring confidence." said the head of the administration of Russian president.

Naryshkin stressed that Moscow is concerned over the disappearance of opposition politicians in Belarus, although it has not formally raised the issue.
