Belarus and Ukraine will reverse oil flows in part of the Europe-bound Druzhba oil pipeline, allowing Venezuelan crude from Odessa, along the Black Sea, to reach Belarus, Belta news agency said, citing Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko, as reported by Reuters.

The Druzhba pipeline also carries Russian oil to several eastern European nations, but the scheduled change in the system will reduce volumes, analysts said.

"At the end of October or the beginning of November, we will face the task to send a trial shipment...of 80,000 tons," Semashko said.

The eastern European country has been receiving Venezuelan oil by railways.

Belarus is increasing its oil imports from Venezuela, and it spends more than it would for crude from neighboring Russia, as Minsk is seeking to diversify supplies because of strained relations with Russia.
