Putin urges Belarus to strengthen economic integration
MOSCOW, November 16 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Vladimir Putin called on Belarus to strengthen economic integration, consistently build the union state and expand multilateral interaction.
In his meeting with new Belarussian Ambassador to Russia on Thursday, Putin said, "A common historical and cultural heritage link Russia and Belarus. We favour a real strengthening of mutually advantageous integration and a consistent approach towards the union state."
President Putin stressed, "The high level of our cooperation in all fields enhances the need to step up interaction in order to meet the interests of Russia and Belarus."
