CIS summits in Minsk, Astana scheduled before year-end

MINSK. Nov 3 (Interfax) - Two CIS summits, in Belarus in November and in Kazakhstan in December, are scheduled to take place before the year's end, Russian Ambassador to Belarus Alexander Surikov said.

"A working summit is likely to take place on November 28 in Minsk, but the date is subject to change. The anniversary summit will take place in the presiding country. Currently, Kazakhstan presides over the CIS," the ambassador said at a press conference on Friday in Minks.

December 8 is the 15th anniversary of the creation of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
