Belarusian President Highlights October Revolution

Minks, Nov 7 (Prensa Latina) The Socialist October Revolution, in addition to changing the destiny of a huge country, determined, in a great extent, the historic development of humankind, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Tuesday.

In a congratulation message to the citizens of this ex Soviet republic, on the 90th anniversary of that historic event, the president noted that in 1917, the process involved millions of people in the construction of a new society.

That way, a system was built that, not in words but in actions, left exploitation, the oppression of the nations and inequality behind, Lukashenko pointed out.

Thanks to the triumph of the Socialist October Revolution, whose anniversary falls on November 7, the dreams of many generations of Belarusian came true, as they have an independent state, open to friends, the president said in his messages.

He added that today, Belarus is walking its own path of development. We create all goods with our own hands, intelligence and talent, in the name of our Homeland, stressed Lukashenko, quoted by the news agency BELTA.

The struggle for social justice, creative work and respect for history and traditions are major factors in the consolidation of Belarusian society, underlined the head of government.

Last weekend, representatives of more than 70 communist and workers parties from 58 countries participated in a world forum in this capital to debate the force and teachings of the 1917 revolution, headed by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
