Azerbaijan and Belarus signed the document on cooperation in the area of information and communications technologies
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan and Belarus have signed the Joint Action Plan to develop co-operation in the area of information and communications technologies (ICT).
Azerbaijan's Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov said despite the Action Plan is the first document signed between the two countries in ICT such a step is an extremely important direction that creates new opportunities enabling further cooperation.
Ambassador of Belarus to Azerbaijan Nikolai Pazkevich said relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus in the area of ICT are enlarging as in other sectors and have a significant meaning for both of the countries.
"Belarus is interested in further expansion of relations with Azerbaijan," Pazkevich emphasized.
The Joint Action Plan stipulates preparation of personnel, business-forums and other events.
The document has been signed by Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Elmir Velizadeh and Belarus Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization Nikolai Strukov.
