Belarus to study EU standards in migration and asylum granting

Belarusian specialists are going to take part in a seminar "International Standards and Standards of the European Union in Migration and Asylum Policy". The event is due to take place in Silichi on November 18-20, BelTA learnt from the press centre of the State Border Committee.

The seminar has been organized within the framework of the international technical assistance "Strengthening the conditions of granting asylum in the Republic of Belarus" (Enei 2). Partaking in the event will be representatives of the border services and the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Belaurs, expert of the Migration Service of Finland Matti Heinonen.

The Belarusian side will get familiar with the pan-European procedures of granting asylum, common standards for illegal migrants and persons seeking asylum, information systems of the Western countries.
