Belarusian Veterinary Service to Carry out First Inspections at Russian Enterprises in December

Belarusian Veterinary Service is planning to carry out inspections of the first group of Russian enterprises (producers and suppliers of products of animal origin to Belarus) in December, Mikhail Saveliev, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Supply, reported to the agency "Interfax-West" .

The Deputy Minister pointed out that large suppliers of dairy and meat products would be inspected in the first instance.

According to the information of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Supply, total number of enterprises which supply various agricultural products from Russia to Belarus is about 250. As it was reported earlier, the Belarusian party had already notified the Russian one about their intention to carry out inspections at the majority of them prior to May 1, 2009.
