Belarus: Borisovsky Meat Processing Plant to Increase Investment Value of Fixed Capital by 16% for 9 Months

Borisovsky Meat Processing Plant increased value of investments attracted to the fixed capital by 16% up to Br4.9 billion for 9 months of the current year, as Natalia Eroshenko, the Head of the Planning and Economic Department, said to BELTA's reporter.

More than Br3 billion were directed for purchase of equipment for abattoir workshop. At present, the reconstruction of pig slaughtering line is continued at the plant. Another Br2 billion will be subsidized for technical reequipping of the workshop till the end of the year. About Br20 billion of credit resources in total were subsidized for reequipping and reconstruction of Borisovsky Meat Processing Plant for the last six years. In particular, $9 million were subsidized for reconstruction of two sausage workshops.

The enterprise installs technological equipment of world leading producers from Germany Switzerland, Poland, Austria and the USA. As for technical equipment, Borisovsky Meat Processing Plant is one of the most state-of-the-art meat processing enterprises of Belarus.

For 10 months of the current year the enterprise increased product manufacturing output by 17.4% up to Br128 billion in comparable prices, and consumer good production output was up by 16.4% up to Br133 billion. Sausage product manufacturing output grew by 0.2% to 7,200 tons. Semi-processed product line was significantly expanded, and thanks to that their production volume increased by 25.9% up to 3,641 tons. Meat product manufacturing total output grew by 14.8% up to 15,070 tons.

Exports increased more than 2.3-fold up to $11.9 million for 9 months.

Borisovsky Meat Processing Plant was built in 1933 and at present it is one of the largest enterprises of meat processing industry of Belarus. Its monthly manufacturing output of sausage and semi-processed products amounts to 800 and 350 tons respectively. The Meat processing Plant has its outlets in Borisov, Minsk, Zhodino, as well as in some small towns of Minsk Region.
