Asbis is supporting the first multimedia laboratory based on Apple solutions in Belarus
Emerging markets distribution powerhouse Asbis is supporting the first multimedia laboratory based on Apple solutions in Belarus. The new facility is the first step in an international education project between Asbis - an Apple VAD in the CIS region - and Apple itself. The Belarus facility has opened in the City of Minsk Institute of the Development of Education.
The two companies hope that the project will help to implement Apple technology into Belarus' education system. The new laboratory will become an Apple international regional training centre and will provide a training programme for secondary teachers to promote creativity and improve pupils learning opportunities on Apple teaching solutions.
"Forming of the information-oriented society is one of the priority directions in public policy of Belarus," said Oksana Minich, head of information resources in the educational system centre in the City of Minsk Institute of the Development of Education.
"Usage of up-to-date technologies in educational process extends the possibilities of teaching materials presentation and helps to increase pupils' motivation," Minich added.
Participants of the courses will learn the basics of photo and video editing, multimedia DVD production, podcasting and website creation.
