RBC, 05.11.2009, Moscow 10:11:33.The Belarusian parliament is set to review the recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia's independence, head of the president's Executive Office Vladimir Makey told journalists in Minsk today. He pointed out that the deputies were most likely to consider this item as early as this week.
Makey also indicated that the parliament would take the general public's opinion into account, which was, however, "quite varied," the Svoboda radio station reported.
So far, Abkhazia and South Ossetia's independence has been recognized by Russia, Venezuela and Nicaragua.
