Leonid Maltsev : Armenian-Belarus military cooperation develops dynamically

Yerevan, 14 December 2005 - Armenian-Belarus military cooperation develops dynamically, as the Belarus Minister of defense, General-Colonel Leonid Maltsev told reporters in Yerevan. "Our cooperation develops dynamically to improve the military security of both Armenia and Belarus", he said. With regard to specific directions of cooperation, then, they relate to military-technical sphere, training of personnel and other issues that aim to increase the military efficiency of the armed forces of two countries, according to the Minister of Defense of Belarus.

Maltsev emphasized that it's not important in which format- bilateral, in the frames of the Organization for Collective Security Treaty, or the CIS, where the sides closely cooperate in the united anti-aircraft defense system- both military departments of Armenia and Belarus cooperate. "It's important that the cooperation proceeds in favor of Armenia and Belarus", he said.
