Council on Transport Policy under EurAsEC to sit in Minsk

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - December 23 in Minsk will be held a scheduled 19th session of the Council on Transport Policy under Integration Committee of EurAsEC. It will be partaken with Transport Ministries of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russian Federation, deputy ministries of transport and communications of Kazakhstan, head of transport and communications depertment of the executive administration of the Tajikistan President.

The agenda of the meeting includes issues of transport interaction of the EurAsEC member-countries.

It is scheduled to consider a series of documents on railway tariffs for cargo transportation between EurAsEC member-countries.

Action Plan to realize Agreement on carrying out the policy of forming and developing transport corridors on the Eurasian Economic Community area will be taken into consideration, which was signed by the heads of the countries March 24, 2005 as well as the issue of the Agreement on international highway service as of November 24, 1998 to come into effect.

Besides, another topic of discussion is organizing and conducting the joint session of Transport Policy Council and the Council of the Customs Directors aimed at settling the abovementioned problems.
