Angelica withdraws from Belarus

Following the dispute over the legitimacy of the song 'Miracle' for the Bealrusian preselection due to it's public performance at the opening celremony of this year's European Athletics Championship ceremony, Angelica Agurbash has offially withdrawn the song, along with two additional ones from the selection process.

Angelica Agurbash has decided to withdraw entirely from the Belarusian national preselection for the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest. After a wave of controversy following the discovery that the song had been performed in Sweden, which she believed to be within the rules because she was unware of any broadcast, she has decided that she will not participate at all. Angelica has been in touch with lawyers and may persue a legal battle with the Swedish broadcasters because no contract was signed allowing her performance to be broadcast.

She had entered three songs entered for the preselection in Belarus but has now withdrawn them all. She decided that the controversy and press intrusion is too much and that she will withdraw her candidacy.
