Belarus KGB Gomel branch initiates criminal case against local fascists

Leadership of the Committee of State Security (KGB) of Belarus in the Gomel area has brought a criminal case against two leaders of the Gomel branch of the non-registered organization, Russian National Unity (RNE), news agency Interfax reports, referring to the press-group of the KGB's regional directorate.

According to the Belarus security forces, members of the nationalist organization had involved inhabitants of Gomel "in their small numbers", by distributing non-registered propaganda leaflets. The KGB marks that the RNE branch leaders continued their activities even after the official warning issued by the Office of Public Prosecutor of the Gomel area this summer, Interfax writes. Now a criminal case is brought against the activists that attributes to a crime under the criminal code article on "the illegal organization of activity of a public association, a religious organization or a fund, or participation in their activity."
