Gazprom's shareholders appeal to CEO

RBC, 27.12.2006, Moscow 17:15:46.The shareholders' union of Gazprom has appealed to the company's chief Alexei Miller, urging him to prevent natural gas cut off to Belarus in 2007, the union's press release reads. According to the appeal, the shareholders hope that the sides will reach an agreement on the matter, as they find it impossible to supply gas to Belarus at the price, comparable to that for Germany. Shareholders believe that the price should not exceed $95 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2007 and lie within the range of 48 percent of the average European price in the future.
