Belarussian inflation at 1.8% in Nov

MINSK. Dec 11 (Interfax) - Consumer prices grew 1.8% in November 2006 in Belarus and 5.7% in January-November 2006, a spokesperson for the Statistics and Analysis Ministry told Interfax.

November inflation was due to an increase in regulated prices for goods and services. Prices grew in November for vodka, vegetables, meat and milk. Prices also grew for intercity busses and trains.

Belarus' social and economic development forecast envisions that consumer prices will grow around 7%-9% in 2006.

Belarus inflation was 8% in 2005 against 14.4% in 2004. rm
