Chavez and Lukashenko meet

Presidents Chavez of Venezuela and Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus look into further possibilities for bilateral cooperation.

The Venezuelan and Belarusian presidents met in Caracas on Friday. Their plans included the launching of three joint-ventures, including one for the exploitation of oil.

Earlier on Friday, Lukashenko had honored the South American independence hero, Simon Bolivar, accompanied by Venezuelan Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro.

Lukashenko arrived in the Venezuelan capital late Thursday and was to stay for two-days. This is his first visit to Venezuela.
