Belarus will get Russian gas regardless of price negotiation progress, ambassador says
In 2009 Russia will supply Belarus with natural gas even if the sides fail to agree the price for this fuel by the end of 2008, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Alexander Surikov told reporters on December 16.
"Russia cannot but supply gas to Belarus as the contract has been signed and gas supplies have been scheduled till 2011,a?t said the Ambassador. He did not try to predict the next year" gas price for Belarus but explained it will depend on the gas price effective on the European market on January 1, reported Belta .
