Belarusian State Veterinary Service Didn't License 27 Polish Meat Processing Plants

Belarusian State Veterinary Service has completed the inspection of 27 meat processing plants of Poland, as the Head of state veterinary inspection of the Chief Veterinary Department of Ministry of Agriculture and Food Supply (Minselkhozprod), Igor Alatko, said to Belta's reporter.

According to him, the inspection was carried out in a view of the fact that, the aforementioned enterprises had showed their willingness to supply pork and poultry to Belarus. To be officially licensed for supply of the said products, these enterprises should have passed the inspection on observance of veterinary-sanitary requirements.

The inspection took place on November 18-29. Shortcomings were detected almost in all enterprises. "We have prepared a letter for Polish State Veterinary Service in which we say about the necessity of elimination of all violations", - the representative of Minselkhozprod pointed out. As soon as Polish State Veterinary Services send Belarusian party the reply on elimination of all detected violations, as well as on provision of guarantees for full observance of all requirements set by Belarusian party, Minselkhozprod will make the decision in relation to supply of raw materials from the said enterprises to Belarus.

At present, only 9 Polish meat processing enterprises are officially licensed for supply of their products to Belarus.
