Counterfeit bills, printed in Bulgaria, found in Belarus

Countefeit bills of 200 Euro, printed in Bulgaria, were found in Belarus.

This was announced by the Chief of the Belarus Internal Affairs Ministry for fight against corruption and economic crimes Olga Zagorovskaya.

According to her, a major part of the counterfeit currency enters the country from abroad, as many of the bills are of Bulgarian origin.

This includes several counterfeit bills of 200 Euro with high quality, which not long ago were found by Belarus authorities in Gomel, agency Belta announced.

Counterfeit Russian roubles are mainly printed in Russia, while counterfeit dollars are produced in the North Caucasus region and Lithuania.

Counterfeit bills of 50, 100 and 200 Euro are most commonly distributed in Belarus.

In the last year, the number of discovered counterfeit bills in Belarus has doubled.
