Russia, Belarus Agreed on Development of Oil Cooperation

The Russian Federation and Belarus made a decision on development of oil cooperation, which will make it more modern and will not create difficulties for Minsk. The President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, said opening the session of the Supreme State Council of the Russia-Belarus Union, Kazakhstan Today agency reports citing television channel Vesti.

"This is the most important decision, which will promote development of energy cooperation and, at least, will not create difficulties to the Belarus partners," he noted.

According to the television channel, the session of the Supreme State Council was preceded by the meeting of the Presidents of two countries. After four hours of the meeting, the Prime Ministers, Vladimir Putin, and, Sergey Sidorsky, joined the leaders of the states.

According to ITAR TASS, following the results of the session, the Presidents of two countries signed the Declaration on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of signing of the agreement of creation of Supreme State Council of the Russia-Belarus Union.
