Ukraine, Belarus to implement around 20 joint projects within Eastern Partnership initiative

Ukraine and Belarus intend to implement around 20 joint projects in the frames of the Eastern Partnership initiative, Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov said after a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Eastern Partnership member countries in Brussels on Tuesday.

These projects are related to such important field as energy and energy stability, transport and transit, the minister said. "We were talking about the modernization of the 9B Vilnius-Minsk-Kyiv highway and other projects, we were also talking about the border management and border infrastructure," Martynov said.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Petro Poroshenko was not able to attend the press conference as he left on a visit to the United States.
