Monitors state non-transparency before elections in Belarus

There is non-transparency in the formation of election commissions for the coming presidential elections in Belarus, according to a report the observers of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

The report was published on the organization's website on Friday.

The observers are marking the lack of clear procedure of votes count and description of voters' rights.

They also note the excessive role of the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in the appointment of the members of the Central Election Commission.

The presidential election in Belarus will be held on December 19.
