Belorussian Ambassador: Presidential elections were remarkably democratic and genuine

Baku, Fineko/abc.az Belarus Government insists on the fact of presidential elections held in this country on December 19 to be democratic.

Today in Baku Belarus's Ambassador in Azerbaijan Nikolay Patskevich has claimed that the elections in Belarus had never been so democratic, natural and fair.

"It concerns not only the period of independence, but the country's whole history. It is the first time that the elections have been so sincere"-N. Patskevich said.

He also revealed preliminary results of the elections:-79.67 % of the electors voted for the incumbent president Alexander Lukashenko. "The second was "the candidate against all"-6.47 % of electors. On the whole 90.66% of electors took part in the elections.
