Belarus ready to bring annual goods turnover with Azerbaijan up to $1.5 billion within a couple of years
Baku, Fineko/abc.az Belarus is sure of the prospects of a considerable increase of Azerbaijani-Belorussian goods turnover within a couple of years.
Today at press-conference Belarus's Ambassador in Azerbaijan Nikolay Patskevich has claimed that we have all opportunities to bring mutual annual turnover to $1.5 billion in a year or two.
"It took us seven years to increase turnover from $10 million to $150 million, but our trade did not fall even during global crisis. The start of mutual oil supplies from 2011 on swap conditions allows us to achieve previously set goals for $0.5 billion, $1billion and $1.5 billion turnover per year",-N. Patskevich said.
He estimated that this year Belorussian export to Azerbaijan is growing by 23% on goods and 25% on services, and Azerbaijani export to Belarus-by 56% and 120% respectively.
"This allows us to reduce the imbalance in bilateral trade",-N. Patskevich noted.
