-The seven Belarusian presidential candidates who were arrested following this month's elections have been formally charged with staging a public disturbance, Associated Press reports. If convicted, they face up to 15 years in prison.
Wide-scale protests over alleged fraud were held following December 19th elections. The rally was broken up by riot police and several hundred demonstrators have since been detained.
