Lithuanian PEN centre receives Nekliajev and Feduta as honorary guests

The protest against brutal action of the Belarusian government, the Lithuanian PEN Centre received Vladimir Nekliajev and Aleksander Feduta as honorary members.

The Lithuanian PEN Centre calls on the Belarusian authorities to release Nekliajev, Feduta and other opposition activists; it appeals to the Lithuanian president, the Government and the Seimas asking to seek for the release of these people and support for democratic forces in Belarus, informs LETA/ELTA.

This week, forty representatives of the Lithuanian academic world appealed to President Dalia Grybauskaite calling her to take all possible steps to ensure that Belarusian intellectual Feduta will be released.
