MINSK. Jan 18 (Interfax) - Belarus will not control the border with Russia, President Alexander Lukashenko said on Thursday.
"I think we won't make any arrangements for the Belarusian-Russian border," he said. "No, we won't," echoed Chairman of the State Border Forces Committee Lt. Gen. Alexander Pavlovsky.
"We will not protect the Belarusian-Russian border, although they [Russia] have planted their customs offices there," Lukashenko said.
