Baltic Beverages Holding is to continue investing in its Belarussian unit, according to local reports.
The company was reported yesterday (23 January) as confirming it will spend around US$6m on Olivaria, the Belarus brewery in which BBH owns a 30% stake.
Saulius Galadaukas, BBH's director of corporate affairs, was cited by local reports this week as saying: "BBH will invest in distribution, marketing and production development and personnel training."
In 2007, BBH pumped $9.7m into Olivaria.
The Belarus brewer became a joint stock company in 1994, with BBH purchasing its stake in late 2006. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development also holds a 30% stake in Olivaria.
