MINSK, Jan 9 - Foreign exchange and gold reserves in the ex-Soviet state of Belarus almost tripled in 2007 to $4.99 billion, the country's National Bank said on Wednesday. Forex reserves totalled $4.064 billion and gold and precious metals totalled $846.9 million, the bank said. Unspecified others made up the small balance.
Belarus plans to increase its total reserves by $2.2 billion by the end of 2008 and to hit $10 billion by 2010.
