TEHRAN, Feb. 28 (MNA) - The state-run Iran and Belarus banks discussed expansion of cooperation here Wednesday.
Bank Saderat Iran Manager Hamid Borhani and Chair of the Board of the National Bank of Belarus Peter Prokopovich held talks on expansion of bilateral banking operations and promotion of monetary and trade ties, Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported.
Borhani called the Islamic banking system dynamic, arguing that non-usury Islamic banking plays an undeniable role in cutting inflation and developing the economy.
"Bank Saderat is eager to boost bilateral banking cooperation," he added.
Prokopovich said Belarus welcomes investments of Iranian banks specially Bank Saderat Iran.
