Three gang leaders executed in Belarus

MINSK. Feb 5 (Interfax) - A death sentence, handed down to three leaders of the Morozovskaya criminal ring, found guilty of committing 15 murders and of extortion, rape and robberies, has been carried out in Belarus.

"The death sentence handed down to the three leaders of the Morozovskaya criminal ring - Sergei Morozov, Valery Gorbaty and Igor Danchenko - has been carried out," officials with the Belarusian Supreme Court told Interfax on Tuesday.

The Supreme Court handed down a death sentence to the three ringleaders in December 2006. In all, 46 members of the Morozovskaya criminal organization were convicted.
