MINSK. Feb 11 (Interfax) - The governing body of United Democratic Forces, a Belarusian opposition coalition, has approved a 59-name list of candidates for the next parliamentary elections, the leader of one of the coalition's member groups said on Monday.
"The Belarusian Popular Front and the United Civil Party have the largest representation on the list, 17 people representing each. The Party of Communists of Belarus is represented by 10 candidates, the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) by eight, the rest of the candidates have been put forward by other political organizations, some of which have been banned. Altogether, there are 59 people on the list," Popular Front leader Vintsuk Vyachorka told Interfax.
