MINSK. Feb 14 (Interfax) - The best possible conditions for economic relations must be created at the border with the European Union, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.
"We must bear in mind that the EU is the second-most important union of states trading with our country. Economic interests should come first, which is why we should let nothing impede trade between our companies and the European Union," Lukashenko said in Minsk on Thursday.
"Certainly, to some extent, we should listen to unfounded criticism from our European partners regarding the Belarusian border being undemocratic and non-transparent," he added.
