Gazprom and Belarus to discuss gas transportation joint venture
RBC, 19.03.2007, Moscow 14:25:38.A governmental delegation headed by Belarusian Energy Minister Alexander Ozerets will hold talks with Gazprom in Moscow on cooperation in the energy sphere on March 21, 2007. Belarus' Energy Ministry reported to RBC today that one of the main topics for discussion would be creation of a joint Russian-Belarusian venture on the basis of Beltransgaz. This joint venture is scheduled to be formed before June 1, 2007 in accordance with previous agreements. According to this agreement, Gazprom will purchase a 50-percent stake in Beltransgaz worth $2.5bn within the next four years.
