Russia and Byelorussia have signed an agreement on measures for development of trade and economic cooperation. The agreement removes all restrictions on mutual trade. Thus, sugar supplies from Byelorussia to the RF have been regulated and prolonged for 2007 and 2008. The document was to be signed 20 March, but due to the number of changes introduced to the agreement by the Byelorussian party, the main points of the document were reconsidered.
So far Byelorussia has limited import of Russian beer, cigarettes and seafood; Russia in its turn imposed restrictions on sugar import from the neighboring country.
The signed agreement repeals about 40 enactments hampering import of Russian products to Byelorussia.
