UAE, Belarus sign media agreement

ABU DHABI - The UAE and Belarus signed a media cooperation agreement here yesterday.
The agreement was signed by Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the National Media Council, and Vladimir Rusakivich, Belarusian Information Minister, who is accompanying President Alexander Lukashenko on a current visit to the country.
The agreement calls for an exchange of economic, social and cultural information and an intensified cooperation between the various media institutions from both sides.
It also includes the trading of publications and documentaries featuring the national cultural characteristics of the UAE and Belarus.
