Belarus businessmen protest 'family business' decree

MINSK, March 12 (RIA Novosti) - A group of about 150 businessmen are holding an authorized protest action in central Minsk against a presidential decree permitting them only to employ close family members, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported Monday.

They are also demanding the lifting of a number of taxes and a reduction in the rate of income tax.

Protesters said if their demands are not met, they will hold another public action March 25.
