Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr K.Zarbaliyeva / Anvar Bariyev, the Emergency Ministry of Belarus, and his delegation began an official visit to Azerbaijan on 12 March. The delegation visited the cemetery of Honors and the Cemetery of Martyrs on 13 March.
Later they had a meeting at the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations. Reminding of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Belarus in October 2006 Kamaladdin Heydarov, the Azerbaijani Minister for Emergency Situations, noted that the two Ministries have signed an agreement on Cooperation. The agreement includes an item on consolidation cooperation in the sphere of prevention of natural and man-caused emergency cases and their outcomes. Heydarov said that the Scientific and Research Institutes of Belarus are developing new methods meeting the advanced standards. With the consideration of this factor the Azerbaijani Minister stressed the necessity for the development of cooperation between the two countries in this direction.
After the meeting the two countries signed the Regulation of a joint working group to be involved in the plan of complex work over cooperation in 2007-2010, prevention of emergency situations and their results.
During the visit to last by 16 March they plan to get familiar with relevant bodies of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Emergencies with respect to carry out exchange of experience.
