Go-anywhere, do-anything MZKT/VOLAT specialist trucks on Biglorryblog.

It's long overdue that Biglorryblog sang the praises of that fabulous specialist on/off-road truck maker MZKT or the VOLAT/Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant in Belarus and check out the website at  http://www.mzkt.by/eng/index.php?module=main where you'll find all sorts of exotic pieces of kit from road-going heavy-duty tractors like the one above to full-blown go-anywhere mud-pluggers for the oil and gas exploration industry like this one below.
I must confess that I know very little about the company although there is an excellent history page on it on the website which has an English translation. The person who DOES know all about them is BLB

The person who DOES know all about them is BLB's contributor in Belarus and Russia Vladimir Chekhuta who sends me pictures of MZKT oilfield trucks every now and again.
I always thought the cab on this 8x8 tractor looks like it came from the old Iveco TurboStar. Maybe Vladimir can help me here and also say what kind of engine it has too...?

With tyres like this this 8x8 looks like it will go anywhere! Anyway take a look at the site as the amount of diffrent vehicles in the range is very impressive.
