Three oblasts of Belarus started the sowing campaign

The majority of agricultural economies of Gomel and Brest oblasts and the economies of the south regions of Minsk oblast of Belarus started the sowing campaign of early spring crops, declared the Ministry of Agriculture and Food on March 30.

As of March 30, the agrarians sowed spring grains and legumes throughout the area over 20 thsd ha, or 1.7% of planned territory. Brest oblast sowed spring crops throughout nearly 6% of planned areas, Gomel oblast - 3.2%, Minsk oblast - 1.1%, informed the Ministry. Mass sowing campaign has not started yet, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

To date, agricultural organizations from all oblasts of Belarus provide additional fertilizing of winter crops. As of March 30, Belarus stored up 1.16 mln tons of mineral fertilizers or 95% of necessary volumes.
