Recognition of independence of separatist Abkhazia and South Ossetia will be discussed in the parliament of Belarus, President Alexander Lukashenko said at the end of the visit to Serbia.
`In this matter Russia puts no pressure on Minsk. This is an internal affair of each country,` - Lukashenko said. The president also pointed out, that the decision, according to the constitution will be adopted by the President, although he would like to know the population`s opinion.
Reportedly, Minsk will receive financial assistance from Moscow in return of fulfilling the Kremlin`s task. Russian PM Vladimir Putin has already signed the decision of allocating $500 million to Belarus.
